Server Location

HLSW displays the location of a game server in Server Details, Server List View or HLSW Trace Route.

HLSW retrieves the location information from HLSW Master Server. The database is generated from Ripe, Arin, and Lacnic. It is updated daily.

All HLSW clients cache their location information for about one week so all modifications to the database take about one week to appear in every HLSW client. The cache is stored in the file ipspace.dat in the HLSW installation directory. You can clear the cache by deleting this file when HLSW is closed. Since HLSW v1.2 it is also possible to clear the cache in HLSW (File -> Advanced -> Clear provider cache).
