Chickenmod was original written by Vexd, OLO, dJeyL and T(+)rget, as a MetaMod-Plugin. Unfortunately the project was stopped with version v1.0.5.1 in June 2002.

In 2004 T(+)rget relaunced the project and released Chickenmod: Rebirth V1.0 - ChickenMod in form of a AMX Mod plugin.

In january 2005 syphilis ported Chickenmod: Rebirth to work with AMX Mod X (Thread on amxmodx.org)
